(Burton) SB 1138, as introduced, Burton. Parking privileges: placard fees. Existing law imposes a fee of $6 for the issuance of an original, renewal, or substitute distinguishing placard and a $6 fee for the issuance of a temporary distinguishing placard. Under existing law these placards may be used by eligible disabled persons or disabled veterans for parking privileges. This bill would prohibit the imposition of any fee or charge upon the application for, or issuance of, these placards.
