SB302

SB302 (Kuehl). Discrimination: state programs and activities. According to existing law in Government Code Section 11135, it is illegal to discriminate against persons with disabilities in any program or activity of the State of California, or in any entity that receives funding from the State. Among other things, this includes compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act governing access to electronic or information technology. Due to an odd provision of law, this bill is needed to extend this requirement to the California State University system.

Status: In Senate Appropriations. For hearing May 29. In Suspense file
